ZMI ALPHA:David Andrews confirms his return to the Patriots

The New England Patriots’ starting center is not going anywhere, and on Friday morning he took to social media to confirm. Posting a video from the movie The Wolf of Wall Street, David Andrews told Patriots fans that he would not be leaving in free agency.

Andrews, who first arrived in New England as an undrafted rookie back in 2015, appeared to be on his way out the door but eventually turned back around. Despite the Patriots already having re-signed Ted Karras as a potential replacement, and even with Julian Edelman posting a goodbye message, the 28-year-old re-signed on a reported four-year contract.

Him staying put ensures some stability along the offensive line after the unit lost starting left guard Joe Thuney in free agency earlier this week. Andrews will continue to man the starting center spot, with Michael Onwenu expected to slide into Thuney’s old role.

Isaiah Wynn, Shaq Mason and Trent Brown are projected to fill the other starting spots, giving the Patriots one of the best lineups in the NFL on paper.
